About Potash

 

The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon. BHP's CAD$14 billion (US$10.5 billion) investment in the Jansen project will deliver a potash mine in Saskatchewan designed to maximise sustainability. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan's history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles. Jansen's construction will take place over several years with first production planned for late 2026. Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages.

About the Graduate Program

The 24-month graduate program focuses on Developing, Engaging, Managing Change and Achieving Results. It's a balanced approach to technical and professional development to ensure you have well-rounded capabilities. This will be the cornerstone of your BHP Career. Graduates will rotate into different teams 2-4 times, to help build technical capabilities, working relationships with new people and leadership skills. You'll be guided by our leaders as you work on real projects, offering accelerated learning and career path opportunities. Near the end of the program, you'll be provided the choice to stay in the same commodity or seek opportunities elsewhere in BHP to demonstrate all that you have learnt.

About the Role

BHP is building its talent pool for Indigenous students and graduates for current and future graduate opportunities at the Jansen site and Saskatoon downtown office.  

Work Location and Schedule

Depending on the role, opportunities are available at the Jansen site and Saskatoon downtown office. Relocation support will be provided if required. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.

To be considered, you will need:
 

• Bachelor's degree or master's degree in any of these disciplines, with bachelor's degree completed not earlier than 2021:
