Job Description: As an Accountant at our company, you will play a crucial role in managing our accounting operations. Your responsibilities will include:
• Overseeing and managing the company's group accounting department.
• Monitoring and overseeing all vendor payables and customer receivables.
• Processing all company's transactions and posting all financial transactions on accounting software.
• Issuing invoices, vouchers, receipts, and other financial documents.
• Computing and managing all monthly/yearly compliance requirements such as VATs, WHT, Pension, ITF, NSITF, PAYE, etc.
• Computing company payroll and ensuring compliance with all tax, state, and local legislation.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Presenting periodic finance and accounting reports to management.
• Responsible for the maintenance of proper books of accounts, including assets, inventory, general ledgers, working capital, etc.
• Monitoring and tracking the company's loan book.
• Creating and managing accounting department standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Tracking and analyzing specialty reports and making appropriate recommendations to positively impact the company.
• Managing customs and importation processes with the assistance of the Accounts Officer.
• Performing some supply chain and procurement duties.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Educational Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must meet the following educational and experience requirements:
• Must have a B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Ideal candidate is a self-starter, hard worker, and a good communicator who is willing to learn quickly and take initiative.
• Good team leadership and decision-making skills are required.
• Possession of ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or CFA qualifications is a plus.
• At least 5+ years of post NYSC experience in Accounting in FMCG, food, manufacturing, EPC, oil/gas, or energy sectors.
