A select panel will assess applications for this prestigious and competitive scholarship, prioritizing candidates with noteworthy experience, qualifications, and potential. The goal is to identify individuals who exhibit remarkable potential to advance within their careers and contribute significantly to public and global health as well as health-related research in a low- to middle-income country following a year of study at LSHTM. This year, two scholarships are available, specifically designed to support outstanding candidates who would otherwise be unable to pursue studies without this financial backing.

Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be nationals of, and reside in, low to middle-income countries (as defined by the World Bank)
- Have the intention to return to a low to middle-income country upon completion of their MSc year at LSHTM
- Confirm in writing their inability to finance the proposed study program
- Meet LSHTM's minimum English language requirements
- Hold a first or upper second-class honours undergraduate degree from a UK university, or an equivalent overseas qualification
- Possess an offer of admission for the 2024-25 London-based (intensive) MSc programs at LSHTM

Benefits of the Scholarship:
- Coverage of 2024-25 tuition fees (at the overseas fee rate), including any mandatory field trip fees
- A tax-free stipend (living allowance) of GBP 19,500.00

Application Process:
The application process for the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine Scholarship comprises two essential steps. Applicants must fulfill all eligibility criteria and complete both steps outlined below by the scholarship deadline of 23:59 (GMT) on Monday, March 4, 2024.

Step 1:
Submit an application for the 2024-25 London-based MSc program of study in accordance with the guidelines under the 'How to Apply' tab on the relevant program of study page.

Step 2:
In the application to study, select the scholarships you are applying for in the 'FUNDING DETAILS' section. If the LSHTM Fund Scholarship is not chosen in the application, applicants will not be considered for this funding. Attach a completed Scholarships Application Form to the application. This is the sole scholarships attachment required, as applicants should have already submitted references, transcripts, a CV, etc., as part of their study application.
