Scholarship Details:
These scholarships are awarded annually and recognize outstanding students from around the world, including international students, studying in Canadian high schools. This is U of T's most prestigious and competitive scholarship for international students.
This scholarship is awarded only to undergraduate students at the University of Toronto. Approximately 37 students are selected as Lester B. Pearson Scholars each year.

Scholarship Requirements: To apply for the
Pearson International Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:
Be an international student (i.e., non-Canadian who requires a study permit).
Currently in their final year of secondary school or scheduled to graduate by June 2023
Begin studies at the University of Toronto in September 2024 (Students who have already completed post-secondary studies will not be considered) Students completing their studies in January will not be considered for admission to higher education institutions at other universities in 2024).

Scholarship Duration and Rewards The
Scholarship Program is designed to recognize students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance and creativity and who are recognized as leaders within their school.
Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship covers tuition, books, incidental fees, and full housing support for four years.

OUAC Undergraduate Admission Application Deadline: December 15, 2023 (Please note that this is the last day to submit applications to OUAC (However, you can apply until December) We recommend that you apply for admission through OUAC as soon as possible after 15/2023. The recommended date to apply for admission is before November 7, 2023, as program slots fill quickly and popular programs may end early. )

How to Apply

Recommendation letter received from school. High schools not already contacted/verified are asked to submit an application to participate in our program, available here in September.(external link) High schools who have participated in a previous year will receive their nomination access starting in early September.
Apply to study at the University of Toronto(https://future.utoronto.ca/pearson/about/ to begin your studies in September 2024 and complete your application for admission by the appropriate deadlines(https://future.utoronto.ca/pearson/about/. Please be advised that you will be considered for the Pearson Scholarship for your first choice of program at U of T. You may apply for several programs and may receive admission to them all; however, the Pearson Scholarship, if awarded to you, would be restricted to your first choice of program at U of T at the time our scholarship decisions are made.
