The Federal Government's 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme is a crucial component of the Renewed Hope agenda. Its goal is to develop Nigeria's technical talent pool, fuel our digital economy, and establish Nigeria as a leading exporter of talent.

In collaboration with NITDA, the first phase of the programme will involve various stakeholders such as fellows, training providers, partners, and placement organizations. This initial phase will be implemented through a fellowship model. We will carefully select individuals who have an interest in specific skills and cover the cost of their training by partnering with approved training providers.

By streamlining this process and working closely with NITDA, we aim to create a strong foundation for building technical expertise in Nigeria while positioning ourselves as leaders in exporting talent.

In line with the Ministry's implementation approach, this first phase aims to train and place 30,000 technical talents. This represents 1% of our overall target and is part of the Ministry's 1%-10%-100% strategy.
The execution will be based on a framework co-created with key stakeholders from government agencies, training providers, educational institutions, development agencies, and the private sector.
