The scholarship program allows African students to study in a different African country, providing them with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the culture and diversity that the country and its communities have to offer. By expanding access to education, we aim to foster openness to new ideas and create a network of like-minded leaders who will contribute to the progress of our continent. A more integrated African economy on a global scale will undoubtedly accelerate growth, yield positive outcomes, and benefit all communities.

Additionally, there are ongoing scholarship opportunities available in various countries across Europe, the United States, and Canada.

Scholarship Details:
MINDS offers scholarships for Africans who wish to pursue postgraduate studies outside their home countries but within Africa itself. Through tailored leadership development activities, MINDS aims to nurture leaders with a continental development mindset who can promote cohesion and cooperation between African nations.
These scholarships apply specifically to full-time one or two-year Honors or Master's degree programs at preferred institutions listed below by MINDS; however, they do not prescribe which courses should be studied.

Scholarship Requirements:
To be considered for a MINDS scholarship through our rigorous selection process you must meet the following criteria:
1) Be a national residing in any African country.
2) Have been formally accepted by one or more preferred institutions outside your home country.
3) Have been formally accepted by one or more preferred institutions to pursue postgraduate studies within the next year.
4) Have achieved a minimum of 70% in each subject/course during your last two years of study.
5) Demonstrate leadership abilities or potential as guided by the questions/requirements in the application form.
6) Submit a complete online application form with all required supporting documentation.

Scholarship Rewards & Duration:
The scholarship will cover some or all of the following expenses, depending on whether a partial or full scholarship is awarded:
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation and meals
- One return ticket per duration of studies
- A fixed stipend

We invite individuals with a Pan-African outlook, demonstrated leadership ability, and an excellent academic record who wish to study outside their home country on the African continent to apply for these scholarships.

To be eligible for a MINDS Scholarship, you must have been accepted to study at one of the following institutions:

EAST AFRICA:

4. Strathmore University, Kenya

SOUTHERN AFRICA:
1. African Leadership University, Mauritius

4. University of Witwatersrand, South Africa

NORTH AFRICA:
1. Al Akhawayn University Morocco,

WEST AFRICA:

Application Process
MINDS is currently accepting applications from students who will begin their studies in the 2018/2019 academic year. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications promptly after receiving official acceptance from a MINDS preferred university where they intend to study. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you meet the eligibility criteria mentioned above, please click on the link below to submit your application. Ensure that you have scanned and saved the following documents for uploading. All documents must be in PDF format and should not exceed 2MB in size:

1. A copy of the data/bio page of your passport.
2. A certified academic transcript/results slip for the last two years of study.
3. An official acceptance letter from the university, addressed to you, stating:
   - The degree program you have been accepted into.
   - The academic year when your degree will commence.
   - The duration of the course (e.g., one year).
4. A copy of a valid study permit or visa OR proof of application (optional).
5. A detailed CV/resume with a maximum length of four single-sided pages.
6. Two reference letters (each no more than three pages) highlighting your integrity, leadership potential, competency, and commitment to African development.
