COOK A THON: NIGERIANS CONGRATULATE HILDA BASSEY ON HER NEW FEAT AS GUINESS ANNOUNCES HER VICTORY

The longest cooking marathon by one individual now belongs to Nigerian chef Hilda Bassey, also known as Hilda Baci, according to the Guinness World Records (GWR).
In a blog post published on Tuesday, GWR validated Hilda Baci's track record.

Guinness World Records announced that Hilda Effiong Bassey, also known as Hilda Baci, had successfully beaten the previous record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), finishing in 93 hours and 11 minutes.
Remember that the previous record was set by Indian-born chef Lata Tondon in 2019 and was 87 hours, 45 minutes.

The 26-year-old Nigerian chef started on May 11 and worked for four days straight, preparing more than 100 pots of food, according to the Guinness World Records. As with all 'longest marathon' records, the participant is allowed a five-minute rest break for every continuous hour of activity.
Hilda attempted to set a record of 100 hours, but nearly seven hours were subtracted from her final total. If not taken, these rest pauses might build up. The only times Hilda may rest or use the restroom during the effort were at those hours.

We're happy to inform you that Hilda Baci has broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual) after watching all the videos.
Hilda Baci tweeted in response to the article, "This is the best news ever omg omg omg thank you so much."
