SML-Understanding-The-Physical-Touch-Love-Language-11.jpg

Have you seen my last post? If you haven't, kindly go back and read, so that, you won't miss the full gist. Winks!  [Link to Previous Post]
So, let's move to the next love language. Okay!

QUALITY TIME: This is a way of showing love to your partner by spending quality and dedicated time together with them. Have you seen someone whose love language is quality time before? Oh my my, they love attention and not just attention but UNDIVIDED ATTENTION.

Having quality time with your partner involves having quality conversation with them. If your partner's love language is quality time, he or she would love to be around you always. Anyone whose love language is quality time loves and craves for togetherness. They always want to take a walk with their partner. They love going on a date with their partner, even, if the only thing, they do is just talking and gisting. They always want to be connected to you, either physically & emotionally. They chat with you or call you on phone every now and then, if you aren't with them physically.

Anyone whose love language is quality time loves their partner to always give them listening ears whether what they are saying is relatable or not, smiles. Do you know as simple as maintaining eye contact during a conversation is an example of having quality time with your partner? Oh yes, it is. Have you heard someone telling his or her partner that, "Babe, I'm talking to you but you aren't looking into my eyes". Smiles, it's funny right? If your response is, "I use ears to hear not eyes". Trust me, you've broken his or her heart with such response, simply because his or her love language is quality time and one of the examples of having a quality time with your partner is maintaining eye contact during a conversation. I hope you've got that right.

PHYSICAL TOUCH: This is a way of expressing love to your partner or a way of receiving love from your partner through touch and physical connection. It is a way of telling your partner "I LOVE YOU" without expressing it verbally.
Anyone whose love language is physical love feel most loved if his or her partner is PHYSICALLY present with them.

Do you know you can hold the hands of your partner whose love language is not physical touch and that holding of hands doesn't communicate anything to them? If you hold the hands of someone whose love language is physical touch, such person feels good and loved because you have spoken his or her love language.

Most of the people whose love language is physical touch love PDA(Public Display of Affection). Have you heard of hugger or huggist, whatever it's called, laughs!. Those people love language is physical touch, obviously. I once heard a man saying "My wife is a huggist. She won't just let me be. She's fond of hugging me". I laughed when I heard it. Well, what the wife was communicating to the man is that; "baby, my love language is physical touch. I feel loved and secured whenever I'm in your arms".

Massaging, touching, cuddling, caressing, kissing and sexual intimacy are some other examples of physical touch among many more. To those whose love language is physical touch, it communicates genuine love and concern more to them.

I need to say this, there is a limitation to receiving and giving physical touch as a love language to your partner especially, if you are not MARRIED. Yes, there are some examples of physical touch, you don't practice until you are married. The fact that the world doesn't see it as a big deal, doesn't makes it right.  We will say it and continue saying it and we won't be ashamed of saying it. I should talk about this, in one of my post before the end of the series.

I hope you've learnt. I would talk about the last two love languages in my next post.

Don't go too far.
Stay tuned!
