Arsenal and West Ham United Reached an Agreement on Declan Rice

Arsenal and West Ham United have reached an agreement on the payment structure for the £105m transfer of Declan Rice. The deal was finalized on Tuesday night after a compromise was made.

According to sources, Arsenal will pay £100m over a span of two years. Rice is expected to undergo a medical examination this week before signing a long-term contract with Arsenal.

This transfer will break Arsenal's previous club record set by Nicolas Pepe's £72m move from Lille in 2019. It will also be one of the largest transfer fees ever paid between British clubs, falling just short of Chelsea's £106.8m payment for Enzo Fernandez earlier this year.

Rice's departure from West Ham marks the end of his impressive ten-year journey at the club, where he rose from being a youth-team player to becoming their captain. He has made 245 appearances for West Ham since his first-team debut in 2017, culminating in winning the Europa Conference League final - their first trophy in 47 years.
