The Foolish Man in a Wealthy House

There was a wealthy family that lived in a large house in the city. Despite their wealth, they were a humble family that worked hard to maintain their lifestyle.

One day, they welcomed a homeless man into their home. At first, the family was skeptical of the man, but they decided to give him a chance. The man seemed eager to work and said he was willing to do whatever the family needed.

The family gave him jobs around the house, such as cleaning, cooking, and gardening. He seemed to be an intelligent and capable worker. They soon grew to trust him and even considered him a valuable member of the family.

One day, the family had an important meeting with a potential business partner. The homeless man received instructions to greet the partner at the door and show him to the meeting room. The homeless man, however, was so exhausted that he forgot what he was meant to do and ended up entertaining the partner in the kitchen instead.

Needless to say, when hearing this story, the family was embarrassed and furious. They reprimanded the homeless man for his mistake, and he was ashamed. From then on, the family trusted him a bit less, although they still treated him with kindness.

The family eventually recovered from the embarrassment and the homeless man continued to work at their household. In the end, they all learned a lesson from the foolish mistake of the seemingly capable man: no matter how much trust one has earned, one should never take it for granted.
