The film opens at the funeral for Matthew Logelin's wife Liz (played by Hart in "Them"), who passed away from a pulmonary embolism soon after giving birth to their daughter.
Devastated, Matt refuses Liz's mother's pleadings to let her take the child back to Minnesota. He raises her on his own while juggling a demanding full-time job with only minimal help from his two idiot friends, Lil Rel Howery and Anthony Carrigan ("Barry"). Although they aren't much assistance with things like putting together baby furniture or fitting car seats, three guys and Babies has a relatively successful filmography, so it's best not to pick a fight.
