The writer narrated his story below:

I lodged in a hotel and my team got me food. I was calling reception to help me with a spoon, but no one was picking up. So I decided to go and request a spoon myself; as I stepped out, I saw a staff member of the hotel. I asked for a spoon and he said, "No, we don't give spoons here to food not ordered here." The other hotel staff beside him said, "But we give plastic spoons." He said, "I don't think it's available."

Young man in his 20s, but intoxicated with power. I believe he is amongst those who don't regard people. I went to the restaurant myself and the chef got me a plastic spoon, which was very much available.

We lodged in the same hotel over the weekend and I gave my P.A. my cloth to iron; I heard a knock on my door, it was my P.A. with the same guy who refused to attend to me with a plastic spoon, holding my cloth burnt by pressing iron. He said, "Sorry, the cloth burnt while I was ironing it."

I reminded him how mean, arrogant, and logical he was the last time I asked for a spoon. I had forgiven him but wanted to teach him; mercy and kindness. I told him he would pay for my cloth, which I got from the U.K. at £100. He was pleading for me to let go. I told him he had an opportunity to be kind and nice to me, but he wasn't.

If I wanted to take up that matter, he could get sacked or pay through his salary for several months. At the end of the day, I told him, "When you sow mercy, you reap mercy. When you sow kindness, you reap kindness. Be careful of the people you meet on your way up, because on your way down, you will still meet them."
