The Stipendium Hungarian Scholarships program provides a wide range of courses for high-achieving international students who have demonstrated excellent academic performance.

The aim of the Hungarian Government in establishing the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program is to promote the internationalization of Hungarian higher education and attract top international students from around the world. Details of the Scholarship:
This scholarship is based on bilateral education agreements between Hungary and the governments of sending countries. It is available on five continents in over 90 countries, attracting tens of thousands of international students each year. There are over 1200 full degree programs offered, covering all fields of higher education at all degree levels, including part-time and doctoral programs.

Requirements for the Scholarship:
To be eligible for the Stipendium Hungarian Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- All international applicants are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Citizens of Hungary or those with dual nationality with Hungary are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old as of August 31, 2024.
- Applicants should not be studying at any Hungarian higher institution on a self-financed basis.
- Students who have previously received this scholarship are not eligible to apply again.

Scholarship Rewards:
For Bachelor's, master's, one-tier master's, and non-degree programs:
- Tuition-free education
- Monthly stipend of HUF 43,700 (approximately EUR 110) for living expenses in Hungary, for 12 months a year, until the completion of studies
- Accommodation contribution: free dormitory place or a monthly contribution of HUF 40,000 to accommodation costs for the entire scholarship period (Please note that this contribution may not cover the full amount of rental costs in bigger cities, especially in the capital city.)
- Medical insurance: health care services according to Hungarian legislation and supplementary medical insurance of up to HUF 65,000 (approximately EUR 170) per year per person.

For Doctoral programs:
- Tuition-free education
- Monthly stipend according to Hungarian legislation: HUF 140,000 (approximately EUR 365) for the first phase of education (4 semesters) and HUF 180,000 (approximately EUR 470) for the second phase (4 semesters), for 12 months a year, until completion of studies
- Accommodation contribution: free dormitory place or a monthly contribution of HUF 40,000 to accommodation costs for the entire scholarship period (Please note that this contribution may not cover the full amount of rental costs in bigger cities, especially in the capital city.)
- Medical insurance: health care services according to Hungarian legislation and supplementary medical insurance of up to HUF 65,000 (approximately EUR 170) per year per person.
