The Vu Amsterdam Fellowship Programme for International Students offers talented non-EU/EEA students the opportunity to pursue a Master's degree at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. VU Amsterdam has committed approximately 1 million euros to attract highly motivated and excellent students.

Details:
The VUFP scholarship can be granted for a one or two-year Master's programme. The scholarship will only be extended for the second year of a two-year program if all first-year requirements are met.
Students already enrolled in a two-year program who did not receive the VUFP scholarship in 2023/2024 are not eligible to apply for the scholarship in 2024/2025.

Requirements:
To be considered for the VU Amsterdam Fellowship Programme, you must:
- Hold a non-EU/EEA passport and not be eligible for lower tuition fees.
- Not have Dutch nationality.
- Demonstrate academic excellence (GPA equivalent to Dutch grade of .
- Be conditionally or unconditionally admitted to the first year of an English-taught Master's programme at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam starting September 2024. Note that programs starting in February are excluded from this scholarship.

Reward:
The VUFP scholarship covers tuition fees only. It does not provide additional allowances for study or living costs such as rent, food, or insurance. You must finance these expenses yourself.
When applying for the VUFP scholarship, you automatically apply for the NL Scholarship (formerly HSP). No separate application is necessary.
NL Scholarship is a contribution towards living costs - either 5,000 EUR or 10,000 EUR for the entire study period. Note that it is only awarded for the first year of your program.
