2023 University of Toronto President's Scholars of Excellence Scholarship for Undergraduates in Canada


The University of Toronto President's Scholars of Excellence Scholarship is awarded to highly qualified secondary school students who are applying for direct entry into undergraduate studies. These scholars will receive a $10,000 entrance scholarship in their first year and have guaranteed access to part-time on-campus employment during their second year. They will also have the opportunity to participate in an international learning experience during their time at U of T.

In addition to this scholarship, there are several other scholarships available in the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, and Canada that offer full scholarships and monthly allowances.

Scholarship Details:
The admitting Faculty may offer additional features which will be communicated explicitly in the letter of admission. Outstanding domestic and international secondary school students are automatically considered for these scholarships based on their average at the time of admission (applicants who have previously attended a post-secondary institution are not eligible). The scholarship is only valid within the Faculty that makes the offer. Payment is conditional upon full-time registration at the University in the fall semester following receipt of the award.

Requirements:
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
1. Be new to UoT and entering directly from secondary school.
2. Be an international student studying at UoT with a Canadian study permit (student visa).
3.Demonstrate exceptional academic achievement as well as involvement in extracurricular activities and community service.
4.Not be nominated for a need-and-merit-based International Scholars award.
5. Be applying for the first year of direct-entry undergraduate studies.

Scholarship Duration and Reward:
- $10,000 entrance scholarship in the first year (non-renewable).
- Access to part-time on-campus employment during the second year. PSEP recipients will receive a notice from the Career and Co-Curricular Learning Network (CLNx) in August following their first year, inviting them to apply for Work-Study positions that give priority to PSEP recipients.
- Access to an international learning opportunity during university studies. Please note that this guarantee does not include funding, but financial assistance may be available based on demonstrated financial need.
- Additional features may be offered by the admitting division. Please refer to your letter of offer for further details.

Interested and qualified applicants should apply directly to the university using the provided link. Outstanding domestic and international secondary school students are automatically considered for the President's Scholars of Excellence Program upon admission; no separate application is required.
